On the start you will be in offline mode, where you can test all mechanics playing for both opponents and having huge amount of res. First of all you should place the castle (main building) for both players (press B and then LMB at chosen cell), then you can start placing various buildings (B) and units (V).

To play online press button "Connect", wait until message "Client connected, socket connected" appears on the left. Then press button "Find game" and wait, the matchmaking system will find an opponent for you (if there is one). You also can press "Create game" and copy the key at the bottom (including the dot!) to send it to your friend, then your friend should paste the key in the same field and press "Join game", so you can play with a specific person. Unfortunately, I currently did the multiplayer logic wrong, during online game you shouldn't switch to another tab, otherwise the game will desynchronize, because browser will deactivate the tab with the game. I'm working to fix that.

I also stream games and gamedev here: https://www.twitch.tv/igsigrek
If I'm online, you can ask to play this game with me anytime, I will be happy to discuss the game with you. I also usually set a search of the game during the day, so you probably can play with me at least.

Core mechanics:

  • Two type of res: mana and substance.
    • Mana is needed to operate your units (move, attack etc.), the amount of mana per turn is determined by your buildings -- the Castle and a Ziggurat gives 1 mana, green cell doubles the amount. Mana also can be stored in the special building (Storage) by clicking it, then it can be pulled out by RMB from the Storage.
    • Substance is used to place buildings and units, currently each of them costs 1 substance. You always get 1 point of substance per step, but also you can put 10 mana into Factory to get 1 additional substance once per turn for each Factory.
  • Each unit costs Limit, which is irreversible, that is you can place only limited number of units per game and if you lose a unit, the limit is wasted. Therefore you should think about your army composition.
  • You always have 1 minute per turn, but also you have an extra pool of time, the remainder of you main time pool adds to it each turn. You also get 1 minute of extra pool at the start of the game. By default timer is not started, but if you feel like the opponent wastes time, you can press the button to start his timer.
  • Your main building is Castle, if you lose it, you are defeated.
  • Buildings and Units can be placed only near your buildings.
  • I can't describe every aspect of the game here, just test it in the offline mode.

Main controls:

  • B to place a Building, V to place a Unit.
  • Esc to cancel.
  • LMB to choose a unit.
  • RMB to move the chosen unit.
  • A+RMB to attack at the cell.
  • If there are several units at one cell, you can scroll through them by clicking LMB repeatedly.

The game is very-very early demo, many mechanics, building and units are to add in future. Most textures are placeholders, no sound, no animations. There are probably lots of bugs and disbalance, any feedback at the comment section will be appreciated!
